Cap-Ferret | France
Arcachon’s Bay
The Cap-Ferret is a village located at the very end on the peninsula of the same name. It is part of the municipality of Lège. Surrounded by the Arcachon’s Bay in the East and the Atlantic Ocean in the west, South is “la pointe”, the end of the peninsula, and “les passes”, where the waters of the bay and the ocean meet.
This particular geographical location offers a remarkable scenic diversity: on one side the Arcachon’s Bay, with its oister beds and its fishing village, and on the other side the Atlantic shores and their waves well known among the surfers. From the end of Cap-Ferret, the Dune of Pyla and the Banc d’Arguin reveal themselves in the distance through the entrance to the bay.
In a nutshell, Cap-Ferret is mostly a unique place of leisure where living follows the rhythm of the tides.
